Win 7 Drivers Creative Extigy Computer Freezes After Windows XP Clean Install - New PC Built?

Computer freezes after Windows XP clean install - New PC built? - win 7 drivers creative extigy

Hello,

I build a simple PC with the following components:

CPU Intel C2D E8400
Xigmatek HDT-S1283 CPU Cooler
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3R Mother
Samsung SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive
100265HDMI SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4830 512 MB ATI
Corsair CMPSU-650TX 650W Power Supply
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Sound Card

I used to use the following components from my old computer:

2 x 512 MB DDR-266 PC2100 PQI (I expect new RAM: Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2 GB) DDR2 800 PC2 6400)
Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive 160 GB 7200 rpm
DVD-ROM
DVD Burner

I installed everything with great care. PC will start normally, with no change in the BIOS. After I while a clean install of XP, the computer keeps freezing after only one or two minutes into the performance of regular tasks like surfing the Internet, or access to the C: drive. It allows me to install a software driver or from time to time, and sometimes freeze during the installation. It freezes every time, just will not onlyEeze at least once. I wonder if RAM 2 x 512 MB of age and not enough for this configuration or too old? Even uninstalling the sound card, DVD recorder, so that only the hard drive of 160GB, but keeps freezing. Ideas? Everything I now connected to the CPU and the MB graphics card, DVD, 2 x 512 and 10 GB hard drive.

Thank you in advance for your help.
